Hornets Press Release - Bown out 3 weeks

Hornets forward Ryan Bowen will be out a minimum of three weeks with a sprained left knee. Bowen, who has averaged 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12 games for the Hornets this season, originally suffered the injury in the team’s 99-71 loss at Utah on Nov. 23.

I love P.J. Brown, but I don't get the enfatuation for him. He's 38 and probably wouldn't fit well in our "desired" fast-pace offense.

Maybe this would be a good time for Ely and Armstrong to really settle in with some extended minutes...maybe Wright too. That's the way I see this at least...

OK, as for the Birdman, I went to a "chalk talk" last week that was held for select season ticket holders and this question was raised to Jeff Bower. His response was that Birdman can apply for reinstatement on January 29, 2008; however, his reinstatement will not be immediate and he was informed that a decision can take 30 to 60 days, or longer. Bottom line was that you shouldn't expect to see Birdman this season.

All I know is that I enjoyed watching him play. He played twice as hard as anyone on the court and I would like to see us give him another shot.

Knowing our genius coach and his decisions, I doubt it.

Maybe he'll get reinstated just in time for the dunk competition this year.

I'd rather Julian get some PT so he can at least be considered for the dunk competition.
